Hi,

I want to setup this configuration:

  • DHCPv6 for address assignment and other configuration (DNS, DNS Search Order etc)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 box as the router and tunnel endpoint

I've setup my tunnel using the script provided on the tunnel page and it's working on the Windows Server 2008 R2 box. I've setup the correct internal range on the DHCPv6 server with the associated DNS server settings etc.

What I don't know is how to setup the RA/Neighbour Discovery etc on the router?

I've tinkered quite a few times but I think I'm turning on SLAAC as it's also handing out temporary addresses too?

I just need the router to advertise the 'default gateway' but not hand out any addresses, no SLAAC - ideally without manually configuring anything on the clients.

Does anyone know the NetSh commands for this?

Thanks,

Andrew.

Have you seen this page?

http://blogs.technet.com/b/teamdhcp/archive/2009/03/03/dhcpv6-understanding-of-address-configuration-in-automatic-mode-and-installation-of-dhcpv6-server.aspx

It will tell you the combination of flags needed to do what you want.
